THE CAMP THEATRE COMPANY
PRESENTS
Quartet
Wilf, Cissy and Reggie are three elderly opera stars calmly living out the autumn of their lives in a retirement home for musicians. They are contemplating how to celebrate the birthday anniversary of Guiseppi Verdi. The daily equilibrium is disrupted by the arrival of Reggie’s ex-wife Jean who acts like a diva and refuses to sing.

Popularised by a very successful film starring Billy Connolly, Pauline Collins, Tom Courtenay and Maggie Smith this bittersweet comedy is, by turns, both funny and poignant. As the evening unfolds many questions are answered: Exactly how long did Jean and Reggie’s marriage last? What would Wilf like to do with Cissy in the herbaceous borders? And will Reggie ever get marmalade for breakfast?
