From visionary filmmaker Spike Lee comes the incredible true story of an American hero. It's the early 1970s, and Ron Stallworth (John David Washington) is the first African-American detective to serve in the Colorado Springs Police Department. Determined to make a name for himself, Stallworth bravely sets out on a dangerous mission: infiltrate and expose the Ku Klux Klan. The young detective soon recruits a more seasoned colleague, Flip Zimmerman (Adam Driver), into the undercover investigation of a lifetime. Together, they team up to take down the extremist hate group as the organisation aims to sanitize its violent rhetoric to appeal to the mainstream.
"BLACKKKLANSMAN finds Spike Lee fully honed in on message with one of the most timely, engaging and thought-provoking films of his career." "Two African-American filmmakers, one making his debut and another in his fourth decade of popular storytelling, have produced two of the most uncompromising, entertaining, provocative, and exacting and relevant movies of this year." |

"Spike Lee tells us a curious story using plenty of humour, conviction and style
while making a necessary parallel between those events from the 1970s
and the horrific resurgence of racial hatred today in Trump's America."
"There are few filmmakers as consistently, burningly passionate as Spike Lee.
This is a vital and timely work that’s up there with his best."
